“…One only needs to glance at a newspaper to see how desperately we need to spread peace…”
This was what Pamela Taylor, Interfaith Choral Festival Coordinator, mentioned in her letter to Lehigh Dialogue Center when she invited us to be a part of this wonderful tradition of Easton Faith Community – coming together to sing.
St. Jane Frances de Chantal hosted this year’s event on November 19, 2017. Lehigh Dialogue Center was one of the faith communities of the Easton are that took part in this event. Choirs performed music that represented their faith with integrity and respect to other traditions. One musical piece “I Choose Love” was written by Miller after the Charleston church shooting in 2015. All the donations from the concert were given to ProJeCt of Easton as it has been every year.
When asked by 69 WFMZ channel, Pamela Taylor said
“…I hope this experience will bring people together and help people get to know each other individual to individual and music is such a powerful tool…”
Lehigh Dialogue Center feels especially privileged to have been part of such a wonderful event because this is the first time that a Muslim community participated in Choral Festival.
