Social Responsibility Projects

Center for Social Affairs addresses social, economic and cultural issues of the local areas and cities to bring innovative solutions in action. Most pressing social problems of the society like homelessness, poverty, child abuse can be solved by bringing the professions to debate and talk on this issues, by formulating the solutions and by taking action with NGO’s and Public officials.

LDC works towards bringing relief and humanitarian aid to communities affected by natural disasters both in the United States and around the world. Helping fellow human beings, regardless of their ethnic, religious or cultural backgrounds, is a core principle of LDC. LDC works with Embrace Relief Aid Foundation, a non-profit organization that brings volunteers to collaborate on humanitarian aid and disaster relief efforts to communities all around the world.

Water Well in Haiti
LDC volunteers have donated through Embrace Relief to open a water well in Haiti in 2014. As we all sadly remember, 2010 Haiti earthquake was a catastrophic one which affected approximately 3 million people. Death toll estimates over 100,000. Many countries and civic organizations responded to appeals for humanitarian aid and pledging funds. One of the many ways of helping the survivals of Haitians is through opening water wells which would make it easier to get to the clean drinking water. The locals living in these regions cannot obtain clean water, due to droughts, lack of infrastructure and past conflicts. Consequently, LDC was honored by a “Water Well Certificate”.

Clothing Drive
LDC volunteers hold clothing drive periodically in collaboration with Embrace Relief. Clean, gently worn clothing and shoes for all ages collected during the clothing drive are being delivered to Embrace Relief and Embrace Relief delivers to the people in the disaster-stricken countries.
Soup Kitchen
Food is served to many homeless and unfortunate people every day at New Bethany Ministries. LDC volunteers take part in providing food to homeless people in Lehigh Valley one day in each month. You can be one of the volunteers to make others happy and share the moments of togetherness in the community.
